New here? Set a default pic, write a headline, pick a profile song, then go leave comments on ten people's walls. That's the whole game.
- How do I set my profile song?
- Head to Music, find a track you love, and hit "Add to My Profile". It shows up in your player so everyone who lands on your page hears it. One song at a time — pick wisely, it says a lot about you.
- How do I change my default pic?
- Edit Profile > upload a new picture. Square shots look best, and the classic angle (camera above, slight tilt) never misses. Extra shots land in your pics album under your default pic.
- How do I pick my Top 8?
- Open My Friends and use the arrows to move people up and down. Number one is a statement. Everyone checks. Moving somebody down is noticed within the hour.
- Somebody bumped me out of their Top 8.
- It happens. Comment on their wall, or don't — plenty of people handle it with a vague bulletin instead. If it turns into harassment, use Block User and file a report.
- What is a bulletin?
- A short post that goes out to every one of your friends at once. Surveys, show announcements, "repost if you actually read this" chains — all fair game. Bulletins expire off the board, so post the important stuff to your blog.
- What does the "Online Now!" thing mean?
- That member has been active in the last few minutes. It shows on their profile and in Cool New People so you can catch people while they're around.
- How do comments work?
- Anyone signed in can leave a comment on your wall. You can hide comments on your own profile at any time. Comment back — a dead wall reads like an abandoned page.
- Why can't I paste custom code into my profile?
- No scripts or raw layout codes here. Pick one of the themes in Edit Profile instead — they cover the classic looks (emo, scene, glitter pink, matrix and more) without breaking your page or slowing it down.
- How do I get more profile views?
- Comment on people's walls, post bulletins, keep your mood and headline current, and add new pics. Activity is what puts you in front of people in Cool New People.
- Somebody is bothering me.
- Use Block User on their profile, then file a report. Moderators review every report and can hide content or suspend accounts.
